It may seem like they’re living large, but it’s not all fun and games for professional athletes. It’s an actual profession, full of work, practice, sweat, and sometimes tears.
Whether it’s football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, dancing, or golf, these often well-known people work hard so the rest of us can be entertained and inspired. Yes, even pro surfers, snowboarders, and bowlers work hard for their money and our joy.
And there are a lot of pro sports! BMX, skateboarding, polo, soccer, swimming, bobsledding, pool, horse racing, darts — the list is nearly endless. While most of us only dream about playing at that level, it’s the professionals that put in the work and passion to make it a career. And we love them for it!
