Lifeguards
With the recent fire on Oceanside Pier, we are reminded about a group of people who are often unsung heroes until they are called to act.
This month we’re honoring lifeguards.
Without their assistance, the Oceanside fire would have been far worse and raged for much longer. Lifeguards jumped right in to assist firefighters from all over North County and Camp Pendelton, courageously battling the blaze from every direction — on land and in the sea!
Lifeguards often perform life-saving work, rescuing and caring for beach-goers. They’ll tell you where the waves are breaking, caution you about riptides and stingrays, and let you know the current water temps.
And this month, they’ve added fire fighting to their long list of tasks that keep us all safe at our beaches.
Thank you, lifeguards! We ❤️ you. That’s why you are all our May, 2024 heroes!

If you are a lifeguard, let your server know and we’ll take 10% off of your check any time you dine with us during the month of May, 2024. Just sit to the left of the checkered flag, please… lol!
It’s one small way we can thank you for helping the world and showing us all how to Hero Up.
